The ideograms are called Kanji. I'm not a expert myself, but you could search other places as well. This site is awesome for pronunciation, mainly.
You could search the internet for site's about Harigana & Katakana (or even Kanji), verbs and sentence building. You'll get an even better idea when using Japanese-Flashcards :) | |

I am using a free software call TAGAINI JISHO... really helpful in order to learn all kind of vocabulary... so I use both... this site where I read and learn the vocabulary and studying (offline) with the dictionary... Actually the TAGAINI JISHO is a dictionary. | |
