Well a particle can't simply be applied to only one scenario like "where are you going".
--The way I understand ni.
In a setence you may describe something you or someone else did. I wrote a letter to my friend. NI would be used to direct the verb's intent.
boku wa tomodachi ni tegami o kakimasu.
I'm writing a letter to a friend.
boku wa tegami o kakimasu.
I'm writing a letter.
boku wa tomodachi o kakimasu.
--This could cause confusion.
This is obviously from a beginner perspective. Don't make this set in stone for all scenario. | |
