hi,
Could anyone tell me following question?
What is different between 先生 and 教師?

from softtoffol 22.10.2009 (19:45)
the meaning is the same but 教師 is more academical and used for professors in scientific or medical field.

hi softtoffol,
thanks very much.

先生 is polite and should only be used when referring to another person. However when speaking about yourself, you must use 教師 or else it sounds rude.

先生 = Mr/Gentleman
教師 = Teacher
