Sudan

スーダンはアフリカにある国です。首都はハルツームです。

Sudan is a country in Africa. Its capital is Khartoum.

スーダンは、エジプト、エリトリア、エチオピア、ケニア、ウガンダといったたくさんの国と国境を接しています。また、紅海を臨む海岸があります。

Sudan has borders with many countries such as Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda. It has a coast on the Red Sea.

スーダンは、アフリカで最大の国です。

Sudan is the largest country in Africa.

北部は暑く、雨のほとんど降らない砂漠のような気候で、一方、南部はより熱帯性です。

The north part of the country is hot and has weather like a desert, with little rain, while the south is more tropical.

ナイル川がスーダンを縦断するように流れ、作物に水を提供しています。

The Nile flows through Sudan, providing water to crops.

この国は主に、アラブ人がより多く住む北部と、アフリカ出身の人々がより多く住む南部とに分かれています。

The country is mainly divided between the north, which has more Arabic people, and the south, which has more people of African descent.

About 38 million people live in Sudan. About 4 million of these live in Khartoum.

Most Sudanese people have Islam as their religion. A small number are Christian.

スーダンでは、数年に渡ってダルフール紛争が継続中です。この紛争で、40万人以上の人々が亡くなりました。

For several years, the Darfur conflict has been going on in Sudan. Over 400,000 people have died in it.
