太郎とバーテンダー

Taro and the bartender

ある晩、太郎はとても悲しそうな顔をしてバーに入ってきました。

One night Taro walked into a bar, looking very sad.

バーテンダー：今日は何が飲みたいですか？

Bartender: What would you like to drink today?

太郎：ビールを1本お願いするよ。

Taro: Just a bottle of beer.

バーテンダー：どうしたんですか？　今日はとても悲しそうに見えますよ。

Bartender: What's wrong? You look very sad today.

太郎：妻とけんかをしたんだ。それで、僕とは1ヶ月間口を利かないと言われて。

Taro: My wife and I got into a fight, and she said she wouldn't talk to me for a month.

バーテンダー：それは素晴らしいじゃないですか!

Bartender: That's great, isn't it?

太郎：そうなんだ! だけど、今日がその1ヶ月の最後の日なんだ。

Taro: Yeah! But today is the last day of the month!
